All winners of the 2024 CAF awards were revealed at an illustrious gala on Monday evening, with Ronwen Williams already picking up two awards.
Williams was named CAF Men’s Player for his fine exploits with Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns in 2024.
The Bafana and Downs captain beat competition from Al Ahly star Hussein El Shahat and Zamalek’s Ahmed Sayed ‘Zizo’.
Williams completed his award double after also being named CAF Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year.
Meanwhile, Bafana and Banyana missed out on the National teams of the Year, with Ivory Coast and Nigeria walking away with those prizes.
In the Club of the Year category, Al Ahly won the men’s category, while TP Mazembe won the women’s category.

Williams, though, missed out on the main award of the evening, with Ademola Lookman being named CAF African Men’s Footballer of the Year after his fine exploits for Atalanta and Nigeria in 2024.
