Chippa Part Ways With Tanzanian Defender

Chippa United have reached an agreement to terminate Tanzanian defender Gadiel Kamagi’s contract.

Kamagi introduced himself in South African football in a good way as he has a good six months with Cape Town Spurs, scoring twice and assisting twice.

Despite a good introduction to South African football, he couldn’t help Spurs to avoid relegation as they went down to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The 28-year-old defender returned to Mzansi for the second stint by joining Chippa United this time around. Six months was long for him to be at the Chilli Boys as his contract was terminated after both parties reached an agreement.

The left-footer made only four appearances in Chippa colours. Malebogo Modise made things tough for him as he continued to perform well and won a few Man of the Match awards.

Kamagi is a free agent and he is allowed to join a team of his choice as he has been released inside the window transfer.
