Marumo Gallants head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou explains that it’s not how they play at this moment, but all about collecting points and saving the club from relegation.
Gallants collected maximum points away from home, beating Cape Town City for the first time in the Western Cape. A seventh-minute goal from Gabadinho Mhango was enough for the Bloemfontein-based side to seal the three points.

With the win, just before the international break, Gallants moved to 13th place with 22 points after 22 games, one point away from a playoff spot.
Ouaddou explained that poor performance is not something they look at in the moment; they aim to save the club from being relegated, so results are something that they desperately want.
“It was not an easy game against very good players with big talent,” Ouaddou told the media.

“I cannot say we had a great game in terms of position, in terms of football but looking at our position we have a big emergency so we are looking for points, we don’t care the way we are playing we need points and it’s not my philosophy but we need to save the club and we will do what we can to get points.
“We will see after the FIFA break we will work a little bit, and we expect to take some points.”
