Amajita romped to an emphatic 6-0 rout over Botswana in a friendly international played at UJ Soweto Campus in Johannesburg on Saturday afternoon.
Lethal striker Jody Ah Shene took just nine minutes to put South Africa 1-0 up with a tap-in after Shakeel April drew the goalkeeper and defenders before grabbing his brace in the 18th minute with a spot kick to make it 2-0.
The floodgates opened just seven minutes later as April unleashed a volley inside the opposition box as Raymond Mdaka’s charges took the huge 3-0 advantage into the break.
Kutlwano Letlhaku thought he had increased his side’s tally in the 50th minute after Ah Shene’s effort was parried into play by the Botswana goalkeeper but was ruled offside by referee Alfred Jelly Chavani.
It was 4-0 with substitute Mfundo Vilakazi converting a free kick on the edge of the box in the 56th minute.

In the 67th minute, Langelihle Phili pounced on a defensive error and then unleashed a low shot to make it 5-0.
The South Africans were not done as Vilakazi also grabbed his brace deep into regulation time as the tie finished 6-0.
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday, 25 March, to complete the second round of the preparations.
