Banyana Banyana head coach Dr Desiree Ellis says it warms her heart to see Refiloe Jane back in action after being sidelined with injury for 11 months.
Jane has successfully returned from a long-term injury that kept her off the field for almost a year.
The Banyana captain recently signed for Hollywoodbets Super League outfit TS Galaxy Queens upon her return from Italy with Sassuolo.
She has already featured twice, providing an assist but wasn’t included in Banyana’s squad to face Malawi in two friendlies next month.
Ellis added that she spoke to her skipper before making the announcement about where she needs the latter to be.
“She’s been out for 11 months so just seeing her back on the field, it warms my heart,” said Ellis on SABC Sport.

“We know that she’s going to take it step-by-step to get back to her best. That’s where we want to see her.
“So, I’ve had conversations with Refiloe before I announced the squad. She’s the captain, so I needed to speak to her about where I need her to be and that’s the decision that we’ve made.”
