Former Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana believes Esperance Tunis is a good opponent for his former side in their quest to conquer Africa again.
The sides are billed to meet over two legs in the CAF Champions League quarter-final, the first one in Pretoria on today and the other in seven days away in Tunisia.

This is the same side that dumped Sundowns out of the tournament at the semi-final stage last season – then under the guidance of the Brazilian’s current coach Miguel Cardoso.
Kekana spoke to iDiski Times senior writer Matshelane Mamabolo in edition 193 of the newspaper where he said the fixture is good for his former side to also get even.
“It is a good fixture for Sundowns,” Kekana told iDiski Times.
“To come up against a team that knocked you out in the previous semis when that loss is still fresh in your mind is great motivation.
“And their advantage is that the coach should know the Esperance players well – their weaknesses and strengths.
“Surely he will want to do the job and make sure that he does well against his former team. We know how everybody wants to do well against their former team.
“It’s going to be interesting to see how Sundowns will do. I know the boys were not happy because they lost those two matches last year due to their own little errors and that should tell you that there’s no room for such at the Champions League level.
“I’d love to see what lessons they took from last year.”
