Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro has rejected a lucrative contract offer from Iraqi Stars League side Al-Mosul SC.
Chivaviro, 32, has attracted several suitors since parting ways with Chiefs, with Young Africans, Azam, Siwelele, TS Galaxy, Chippa United and Mosul among the club’s that made contact with the towering striker.
Sources have confirmed the move to Mosul has now been ruled out completely with the player rejecting the official contract offer, as he looks for a sporting project and environment that can help him rediscover the form that earned him a move to the Soweto giants.
His previous stint outside Mzansi took him to Kosovo with KF Trepca 89, however it was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic and he returned home to join Venda FC for a season, which then led to his successful season at Marumo Gallants.
He netted nine goals with one assist in 45 games for Amakhosi over his two seasons at the club.
