Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has reiterated his stance, explaining why Mbekezeli Mbokazi should make the move to Europe now.
Mbokazi is part of the 23-man squad set to do battle against Zimbabwe and Rwanda in the crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers in the next two weeks.

Speaking during the squad announcement, Broos highlighted the significant growth of South African football within his tenure, stressing that it’s crucial for current national team players to take the next challenge and secure moves to European leagues.
When asked which players are Europe-ready, he singled out Orlando Pirates defender Mbokazi, who has quickly become a household name, having only started playing first team football in March.
Broos feels the PSL will soon become “too easy” for Mbokazi, who has established himself as a regular starter for both Pirates and Bafana.
“If you see the quality and the talent of Mbokazi, I’m very sorry to Pirates but this guy has to go away next year,” Broos said on SABC Sport.
“He will become better when he plays good competition and in a higher level. If he stays here, it will become too easy for him because he’s good.
“He needs another motivation, another challenge. That makes him to become better.”
He added that there are other players who need to be exported to Europe for the national team to become even better.
“There are other players who can make the [next] also [and move abroad].”
