Orlando Pirates winger Tshepang Moremi has revealed how teammates Relebohile Mofokeng and Patrick Maswanganyi helped him settle in at the club.
Moremi, 25, signed for the Buccaneers at the beginning of this season from AmaZulu. He has enjoyed a good start to the campaign scoring eight goals and an assist across all competitions while also breaking into the senior national team.

Moremi explained that what has helped him settle in were the guys he arrived with and the addition of Mofokeng and Maswanganyi who showed him the ropes and empathy when fans were booing him.
“When we got here, we were nine players, so we didn’t have pressure everything was good and easy,” said Moremi.
“And also, here there are guys I found who I grew up with. They also helped me settle in by showing me the ropes and helping me understand the culture of the team. Someone I grew up with is Rele and also Tito. You remember that incident that happened, Tito was the one who calmed me down and helped me relax.
“To be honest with you I wasn’t aware that I was being booed during the game. I only realised after the game when the guys hurdled in a circle talking about how fans were booing players. And I was hurt to make the discovery, but I didn’t take it to heart too much because it’s something that happens everywhere.”
