While Khiba and Barns were transfers reached with Sekhukhune United and Richards Bay, respectively, Nku’s departure was by mutual agreement.
Stellies have since confirmed the arrival of the three new players.

“We are pleased to conclude the January transfer window by welcoming Shakeel, Wonderboy, and Asekho to the Club,” Stellenbosch FC CEO Rob Benadie said.
“We believe that these signings, together with those who arrived earlier in the month, have strengthened our squad in key areas and will provide us with a significant boost in the second half of the season.”
“April and Tiwani join as two of the country’s brightest prospects after helping South Africa lift the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations trophy and starring at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile last year.
“Makhubu, meanwhile, arrives as an experienced attacking option, having scored 15 goals in 38 league appearances while on loan from Sekhukhune United at Magesi FC over the last two-and-a-half seasons.
“April has taken the No. 77 shirt, Makhubu will wear No. 36, and Tiwani has been allocated the No. 13 jersey, ” the statement read.
