Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has opened up about his struggles for regular playing time, having yet to feature in an official match this season.
The 30-year-old shot-stopper has not played a single minute across the three competitions Chiefs have participated in so far — the Betway Premiership, Carling Knockout Cup, and the CAF Confederation Cup.
Instead, Brandon Petersen has firmly established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The Phefeni Glamour Boys’ number one has made 22 appearances across all competitions this season, producing an impressive 11 clean sheets in the process.
Despite his limited involvement, Bvuma insists he remains unfazed by the lack of game time.
He says his primary focus is the team’s success and that, as long as Chiefs continue to perform well, he is comfortable with his current role.
“For me, playing for Kaizer Chiefs is great, whether I’m playing or not, if the team is doing well, I’m happy,” said Bvuma.
“What keeps me going is that I’m still a Kaizer Chiefs player and I’m very happy because we’re getting the results that we want as a team and the team is growing.
“That’s what is important right now.”
