MC Alger head coach Rulani Mokwena says destiny is in their own hands but knows it’s a challenging feat to overcome Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday afternoon.
Mokwena now in charge of MCA, remains a firm fan favourite at Sundowns, where he won two league titles, Nedbank Cup, Telkom Knockout and the African Football League.

While he’s since coached Wydad prior to the move to Algeria, it will be the first time returning to Tshwane in his coaching career on the away side of the dugout since his exit.
A win for either side would secure a quarter-final qualification in the CAF Champions League, making for a mouth-watering Valentines Day showdown.

“Interesting, it’s been a great campaign so far for both teams, interesting results and to arrive in the match-day six, is something I am a bit unfamiliar with, usually it’s to navigate first or second.
