Stellenbosch FC head coach Gavin Hunt is hoping that they can take advantage playing at home to come out victors when they battle TS Galaxy.
Stellies seem to have turned the corner, as they are yet to lose a league game under Hunt since he took over in December.
The Cape Winelands side managed to collect 11 points out of 15 which propelled them to within touching distance of the top eight bracket after they hovered just above the relegation zone at some time this season.
This evening, they take on the Rockets who are on a five-match losing streak and have dropped to eighth place.
Although Galaxy might be in a bad patch in the league, they are in the Nedbank Cup semis, something to cherish this season, but the aim of finishing in the top eight is at risk.
Hunt hopes to take advantage of playing at Danie Craven Stadium this evening, especially playing on a Friday night.
“It’s number eight in the league against number nine, so it’s going to be a tight game, but at home, we’ll be looking to take advantage,” Hunt told Stellies media.
“It won’t be easy, though, because they’re a good side that can always spring a surprise.
“It’s always a positive to play at home. You’re not packing a suitcase, and people don’t always understand the challenges that come with that, so we’re happy to be at home and to be playing this match at Danie Craven.
“I also love Friday night football; I think it’s the best time to play, and hopefully, we can get a positive result for the fans.”
