Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has cautioned his players not to get ahead of themselves following back-to-back victories in the Betway Premiership.
Amakhosi showed resilience by bouncing back strongly in their last two outings after enduring a difficult spell that saw them lose four consecutive matches across all competitions.
They edged Durban City 1-0 in midweek before producing another solid performance to beat Magesi FC 2-0 over the weekend.
Despite the improved form and consecutive clean sheets, Kaze has stressed the importance of staying grounded and maintaining focus as the season progresses.
“I always believe that the difficult moments that we went through as well were conditioned by a lot of injuries, a lot of suspensions,” said Kaze.
“But when you have important players that are coming and playing regularly, two, three, and four games in a row, that gives that stability that we are looking for.
“I would say we are technicians, we knew why we were in difficult moments, and the good thing is that we stayed calm.
“From now on, we need as well to stay calm and not get euphoric because we won two games; we need to work very hard to keep the momentum.”
Next up for the Phefeni Glamour Boys is a clash with Orbit College FC on 6 April, set to take place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
