Dladla Reveals Log Position City Want To Finish

Durban City coach Pitso Dladla has outlined the club’s league ambitions following an impressive start to their debut top-flight season.

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit has exceeded expectations with consistent league performances, currently sitting sixth on the table with 35 points from 24 matches in the Betway Premiership.

In addition, they have booked a place in the Nedbank Cup final, where they will face TS Galaxy on May 2 at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Dladla acknowledged the team’s progress and emphasised their goal of securing a top-six finish.

“The remaining matches can come with a lot of changes, what’s important to us is the remaining matches,” said Dladla.

“So, what’s important to us right now is the remaining games because if we don’t finish well, that would be like a failure.

“We will sit down with players, we’re getting a lot of support you can think of from management. So, we’ll sit down with the players and remind them that the season is not over yet.

“And it’s important to finish the season at the place where we want to be and we can’t hide that, we want top six. It won’t be easy but it will need everyone in the team so we can fish on high just like we started.”
