Ouaddou Takes Swipe At Chiefs

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has taken a swipe at Kaizer Chiefs following their 1-1 draw in Sunday’s Soweto Derby at FNB Stadium.

While Chiefs appeared satisfied with a point, Ouaddou expressed frustration, insisting his side had pushed for a winner and were disappointed not to claim all three points.

He suggested that had the match gone beyond 90 minutes, Pirates would likely have found a second goal given their attacking momentum.

The French-Moroccan mentor also accused Chiefs of time-wasting late in the game, saying their players went down too easily.

He then questioned their ambition, adding that a club of Chiefs’ stature should aim for more than a point.

“I have seen a lot of players of Kaizer Chiefs going down. I cannot say that they were tired or just winning time because it seems like the draw was a fantastic result for them, for such a big club,” said Ouaddou.

“I think they should be disappointed like us because tonight I have the feeling that we lost two points.

“And I think them as well, they should have this feeling, but I saw that they were very happy with one point.”
