AmaZulu FC defender Sandile Mthethwa has emphasized the importance of securing a positive result against Kaizer Chiefs this coming weekend.
The two sides will clash on Saturday at 3 pm at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium with three vital points at stake.
Mthethwa says the team is determined to maintain their fourth-place standing—a target the club strives for every season.
“I think, same as other games, we just want to maintain our position and also take it one game at a time because we are left with two games,” said Mthethwa.
“So it’s not going to be an easy game because you can see they’ve been doing well the past games. So we’re just going there knowing that it’s not going to be an easy game.
“But also we’re going there wanting to secure our position and get better results on that game and hoping to get the maximum points.”
With only two matches remaining for Usuthu, Mthethwa emphasizes the need for a strong finish, starting with a decisive performance against Kaizer Chiefs.
“We are going to try and play well just like in every game. If we play well, our training should be the same,” he added.
“Our training should be better than before because finishing on a high determines the start of the next season. So, it’s important that we finish on a high.”
