Astute South African tactician Pitso Mosimane has admitted that he’d like to get back into coaching however it will depend on what the suitors are offering.

Mosimane’s last job was with the Iranian Pro League side Esteghlal having parted ways with them in January last year because of unresolved salary disputes. The former Al Ahly coach has been busy with the Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools (PMSS) project.

He spoke to iDiski Times senior journalist Matshelane Mamabolo in edition 255 of the newspaper where he admitted a national team would attract him however he wouldn’t rule out a move to a Champions League playing club.

“Coaching again? If you ask me, a national team, yes,” Mosimane told iDiski Times.

“Look, you should never say never because I might go back to club coaching. But there must be… You know, there must be something that really makes me want to go. So, it depends.

“I have teams calling me still. [Al] Ittihad, the one Rulani [Mokwena] went to – they’ve come to me. But if I take on a club, I want to win the Champions League if I’m in it. I don’t know if they have a team to win the Champions League.

“So, then what is it [that would get me to coach at club level]? Then it’s money. For me, it’s not about money. I need to get what makes me happy. So, I’m in a position where I do what makes me happy. And this is it here [working with the coaches and clubs at the PMSS].”
