Kaizer Chiefs striker Glody Lilepo did not make DR Congo’s final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Lilepo, 28, has made a 11 appearances for the Leopards, with his last coming in a friendly in June 2023.
He has remained sidelined by DRC coach Sébastien Desabre, who announced his final 26-man selection on Monday.
Meanwhile, Pyramids FC striker Fiston Mayele is the only player based in Africa to make the squad for the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Other notable names are Real Betis striker Cedric Bakambu, Newcastle United’s Joanne Wissa and West Ham United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Leopards take part in their first World Cup in 52 years, and have been drawn in Group K alongside Portugal, Uzbekistan and Colombia.
