Senegal head coach Pape Thiaw has named his final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to take place in North America next month.

The Lions of Teranga who are currently contesting the ruling of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) over their recent Africa Cup of Nations title that was stripped from them come into the tournament, ranked 14th.

Having been drawn in Group I alongside 2018 champions France, Norway and Iraq, it’s a far from straightforward challenge for the West African giants.

Veterans Sadio Mane, Idrissa Geuye, Kalildou Koulibaly and Eduaord Mendy remain part of the set-up, while Thiaw will be looking towards Ismailla Sarr and Iliman Ndiaye for that creative force for Nicolas Jackson up top.

This will be their fourth time at the global event, having reached the quarter-finals in their first attempt in 2002, group stage in 2018, and Round of 16 in the last edition hosted in Qatar.
