With the future of Orlando Pirates utility player Bandile Shandu uncertain, as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season, a handful of PSL clubs have shown interest in the player.
The 31-year-old has spent five seasons wearing the black and white of the Ezimnyama Ngenkani, having signed for the club at the beginning of the 2021/22 campaign.
Shandu joined the Sea Robbers after impressive seasons with Maritzburg United, which later rebranded to Durban City.
While his camp is still in talks with the Buccaneers, it appears unlikely that he will remain at the club.
According to iDiski Times sources, Sekhukhune United, Stellenbosch FC and AmaZulu FC are among the clubs said to be monitoring the situation of the right-footed player.
“At this point in time, we are still assessing interest in Bandile,” Makaab told this website in a short response when asked about the player’s future.
Bandile Shandu racked up 110 appearances for Orlando Pirates, scoring 11 goals and registering five assists, while winning eight trophies. These include the Betway Premiership, four MTN8 titles, two Nedbank Cup titles and the Carling Knockout Cup.
