Kaizer Chiefs are edging closer to securing Fernando Da Cruz as their new head coach after the exit of co-coaches Cedrick Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef.
iDiski Times has been reliably informed that Chiefs are in “advanced talks” with Da Cruz, as they aim to wrap the deal as quickly as possible so that the pre-season planning can go ahead – as first reported by Farpost.
Chiefs haven’t confirmed any exits or signing as they aim to let the incoming coach have a look at the squad.
The pre-season is expected to be in Germany ahead of the upcoming season.
Da Cruz was close to joining Chiefs with Nasreddine Nabi but the Moroccan decided in the last minute that he is not taking the assistant coach job and instead joined the Moroccan FA.
The Frenchman previously worked alongside Nabi at ASFAR, holding the Technical Director position in Morocco.
