Golden Arrows are in advanced talks to sign Motsepe Foundation Championship joint Golden Boot winner Ronaldo van Neel from Hungry Lions.

Van Neel, 24, is in high demand after a sterling season in the second tier, where the winger netted 13 league goals.

And Arrows are in the process of identifying new targets to bolster their squad, with several of their key performers expected to be sold in the off-season.

Among them Siyanda Ndlovu, who’s been strongly linked with moves to Europe, the Gulf, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

It’s believed van Neel has been identified as a ideal replacement for the diminutive talent – who has been knocking on the door of the senior national team.

In the technical team, there’s also been uncertainty around the head coach role, as Manqoba Mngqithi’s contract comes to an end this month – Adnan Beganovic has been linked as a potential replacement, should he depart.

Mngqithi led Arrows to a top eight finish last season and rebuilt the squad, by significantly lowering the average age as the likes of Alwande Booysen, Isaac Cisse, Lwanda Mbanjwa, Nhlanhla Gasa, Mfanuvela Mafuleka, Ntandoyenkosi Mabaso, Ayanda Jiyane, Sboniso Madonsela and Ndlovu all under 23 rose to prominence.
