Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung has revealed the new coach and player movements will be announced “in due course”, as the club launched the latest edition of the Toyota Cup.

Amakhosi announced they will be facing Zimbabwean Premier League champions Scottland FC in this year’s edition on 26 July at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in Rustenburg.

With Chiefs yet to confirm their new coach, Motaung also confirmed that several updates on the technical team and player movements will be announced soon.

“First and foremost, thank you to the coaches and the technical team for the wonderful work that they’ve done, getting us third,” she said on the sidelines of the Toyota Cup launch.

“And certainly, as we move forward the mandate and the announcements will be made in due course regarding the technical team and where we intend to go.

“But certainly, Chiefs is a team that is contending for what is on the table and making sure that we continue to rise to get success.”

Motaung also revealed the club’s new kit will be presented to the Amakhosi fans during the Toyota Cup match, where the new technical team and signings will also be presented to the club’s fans.

“This season has ended and we’re taking time out to now announcing the Toyota Cup in preparation for the new season,” she added.

“Certainly, our supporters and everybody alike are looking forward to announcing things regarding the technical team, player movements and things like that.

“From a Toyota Cup point of view, it’s an opportunity for us to showcase the new technical team, and the new players, any other player movement, and certainly our new kit, which will also be announced. But certainly, we will be wearing it on the pitch for the first time.

“I say to everyone, today is about the Toyota Cup, but in the next few days, in the next few weeks there will be many announcements coming out of the Amakhosi home to say these are the changes and this is where we’re going.”
