South African tactician Fadlu Davids has parted ways with Moroccan giants Raja Athletic Club after their 2-0 away defeat to KAC Marrakech on Tuesday.

Davids had been under intensifying pressure after dropping to fifth place in the Botola Pro title race.

Despite Raja trailing league leaders RS Berkane by only four points, the recent defeats to Wydad, Berkane as well as Marrakech seemed to have decided Davids’ fate at the helm of the Green Eagles.

As first reported by iDiski Times, former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has once again been linked with a return to the Botola Pro outfit with sources having confirmed there’s been talks of Nabi taking over at the club.

In one of the most enthralling title races in recent history in Morocco, at least five clubs look set to fight it out for the title, Berkane, Mas Fes, Wydad, ASFAR and Raja – making the next move for the club one of the most crucial in the context of the season.

Raja announced on Friday morning via a statement they had gone their separate ways with the former Simba SC head coach as they map a way forward.
