AmaZulu have secured the future of midfielder Siyanda Hlangabeza, who has signed a new-long term contract.
The KwaZulu-Natal side have moved swiftly to tie down one of their standout performers, ending speculation that the 23-year-old defensive midfielder could be on his way out of King Zwelithini Stadium.
Hlangabeza has been one of AmaZulu’s most consistent players this past season, earning three Man of the Match awards in 21 league appearances and playing a key role in the club’s push for a top four finish in the Betway Premiership.
The new deal is a significant statement of intent from AmaZulu, who were keen to ward off interest from elsewhere after reports emerged linking Hlangabeza with a move to Gauteng in the new season.
Hlangabeza came through the AmaZulu academy and made his senior debut in August 2023, going on loan to Durban City before returning to cement his place as a regular starter under coach Arthur Zwane.
With his future now secured, AmaZulu will be hoping the talented midfielder can continue his impressive form as they look to build on a promising campaign where they finished fourth in the league.
