Romanian side FC Dinamo București have tracked back on their interest in SV Ried midfielder Yusuf Maart.
iDiski Times has established that the former Romanian champions have cooled their interest in the former Kaizer Chiefs captain after appointing Nuni Campos as the club’s new head coach at the beginning of this month.
The Romanian side had shown interest in the player when Željko Kopić was still the coach, as he admired the former Amakhosi midfielder who moved to Austria just last season.
Ried isn’t looking to lose the South African midfielder who has been a pillar of their team in his first season in Austria’s Bundesliga with the 30-year-old making 38 appearances in all competitions and contributing with a single assist.
FC Dinamo are a side that operates like Real Madrid in terms of transfers, targeting mostly players on free transfers or signing them on pre-contract deals when their contracts are about to end.
With Maart, that’s not likely to happen, as he still has a year left on his contract with the club, which also holds an option for further extension.
