Chiefs Make Toyota Cup Announcement

Kaizer Chiefs have announced that tickets for the third edition of the Toyota Cup, have gone on sale.

Amakhosi take on Zimbabwean Castle Premier League champions Scottland FC at the revamped Royal Bafokeng Sports Complex on Sunday, 26 July.

The Glamour Boys recently made their return to pre-season after a contrasting 2025/26 season where they finished the term without silverware though they qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup after finishing third in the Betway Premiership standings as well as the MTN8 competition next season where they will take on Golden Arrows.

Since launching the pre-season tournament, Amakhosi have lost both previous editions and last year they were beaten on penalties by Asante Kotoko after the game had ended 0-0.

The year before, during Nasreddine Nabi’s debut season, Chiefs were hammered 4-0 by Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC in the Tunisian mentor’s first official match in charge of the club.

“The Soweto giants will face their Zimbabwean counterparts at the revamped Royal Bafokeng Sports Complex on Sunday, 26 July, which is the final fixture before Amakhosi kick off the new 2026/27 season just days later,” the club said on its official website.

“Fans attending the match will enjoy an added bonus, as the day begins with a special curtain-raiser: Kaizer Chiefs Legends taking on the Jozi Masters at 12:00 midday. Two star-studded teams will take supporters on a journey down memory lane, promising to deliver thrilling entertainment ahead of the main event.

“The headline match kicks off at 15:00, giving supporters the first opportunity to see new head coach, Fernando da Cruz, lead the team alongside fresh signings such as Thabo Moloisane, who will be unveiled to supporters on the day. The occasion will also feature the official showcasing of the new home and away kits, set to be launched in July. The visitors, Scottland FC, will have some of the familiar faces in their ranks, such as Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat.”

Tickets are priced at R100 and available at Computicket, Shoprite, and Checkers outlets.
