New Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz has arrived in South Africa to start work at Naturena on Thursday.
The Frenchman was announced as new coach two weeks ago, and now finally arrived at the club to kick-start pre-season for 2026/27.
Da Cruz worked as Technical Director for the Moroccan Federation over the past two seasons, and will now join the rest of the new technical team who started pre-season with the squad two week ago.
“I’m very happy to be here. The Club has always held a special place in my heart, and I’ve kept a close eye on its journey over the past two years,” he told the club’s media team.
“Kaizer Chiefs is a massive institution with passionate supporters and a proud history.
“My focus now is on building a strong connection with the players, instilling a winning mentality, and working together to achieve the success our fans deserve.
“The journey ahead will demand hard work and unity, but I’m confident we will rise to the challenge, he says.”
Da Cruz was originally part of Nasreddine Nabi’s technical team, set to work as assistant coach, but then took up his role with the Moroccan FA in 2024.
