Orlando Pirates right-back Jabulani Mokone is set to join Motsepe Foundation Championship side Midlands Wanderers FC on loan ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Mokone, 21, played a pivotal role in the Buccaneers’ maiden capture of the reserve league title under the guidance of Roscoe Krieling.
Meanwhile, Pirates’ senior squad claimed a domestic treble in 14 years which included the Betway Premiership title, MTN8 and Carling Knockout Cup.
Mokone currently has a first team contract at Mayfair but he looks set to spend the next campaign at Wanderers on loan.
He was spotted training with the club as they prepare for the upcoming season after they finished the league in a low 14th place to escape relegation as Black Leopards and Baroka FC went down to amateur football.

In 2024/25 season, Mokone was shipped out and spent the second half of that campaign on loan at Upington City, after failing to make a breakthrough into the first team.
The DStv Diski Challenge star has risen to prominence with back-to-back Carling Cup title victories with the All-Star team in recent times.
