Orlando Pirates are heading to Spain for an extensive preseason tour running from 11 July to 25 July 2026, with the Buccaneers set to feature in five friendly matches against a mix of European and Middle Eastern opposition as they build towards the new season.
The Betway Premiership champions kicks off the tour with a clash against Córdoba CF on Wednesday, 15 July at the Marbella Football Center (19:00 kickoff), followed by a meeting with Cádiz CF on Saturday, 18 July at a venue still to be confirmed.
Pirates then take on Saudi Arabian giants Al Ittihad on Tuesday, 21 July at the Banus Football Center (19:00), before facing Las Palmas FC the next day, Wednesday, 22 July, back at the Marbella Football Center (19:00).
The tour wraps up with a fixture against another Saudi Pro League side, Neom SC on Friday, 24 July at the Estepona Football Center (19:00).
Based largely around Marbella, the trip gives the Buccaneers a strong block of high-quality opposition to sharpen up ahead of the domestic season, while also offering the technical team a chance to assess fitness levels, combinations, and squad depth in match conditions.
