Premier Soccer League and Orlando Pirates chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza has sent a condolence message on the passing of Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana midfielder Jayden Adams.
Adams, 25, sadly passed away in the early hours of Saturday, sending large parts of South Africa into morning.

Just a month ago, Adams had made his 2026 FIFA World Cup debut in the 2-0 defeat against Mexico. Adams went on to play in all three group stage games, despite the sad passing of his grandmother Marianna before the Czechia game.
In a shocking development, Adams passed away on this tragic Saturday, leading to a huge of tributes flying in, the latest from Dr. Khoza.
“There are losses for which life, however painful, give us time to prepare – go itlhoboga,” he wrote via the PSL.
“Jayden Adams’ untimely passing has left the nation stunned with grief. A young footballer of exceptional promise whose talent, humility and dedication had earned him the admiration of the nation.
“His star was unmistakably on the rise. In a short space of time, he created memories that will endure in South African football and in the nation’s reference points.
“Please accept our heartfelt condolences, and kindly convey them to Jayden Adams’ family and the broader Masandawana family.
“May his soul repose peacefully.”
