Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu says the squad is adapting well to the methods of new head coach Fernando da Cruz as preparations for the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season continue.
Amakhosi are currently in Spain for their pre-season training camp, with the new campaign set to kick off in just under two weeks.

Ndlovu believes the camp has been productive, adding that the team is continuing to get sharper with every session.
“It has been a wonderful camp. We are very happy to be here to do some preparation for the new season. We are looking better and sharper each and every training session. We have a new coach with a new philosophy, and we are adapting well to his ideas,” said Ndlovu, as per Chiefs website.
“We are all enthusiastic and very ambitious. This is a lovely environment, but we are not here on holiday; we are here to work, and we are putting in the effort on a daily basis. We are enjoying it, though.”
Chiefs have played three pre-season friendlies so far, drawing 1-1 against Glasgow Rangers and Al Kholood before suffering a 2-1 defeat to Spanish side Elche CF.
Ndlovu believes the matches have provided valuable experience and says facing quality opposition will benefit the team when they begin their CAF Confederation Cup campaign later this year.
“These games are a good way to test yourself as to where you are at. They were different types of teams. Rangers were more physical while Al Khalood were more tactical,” he said.
“You want to play against teams like that because it’s similar to what we are likely to face in the league and CAF Confederation Cup. We held our own and managed to score in both games, so those are positives we can take forward.”
