AmaZulu FC assistant coach Siboniso Vilakazi has outlined the club’s lofty ambitions ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Vilakazi was speaking on Saturday during the Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup in Ulundi, where AmaZulu continued their preparations for the new campaign.
He said as one of the most ambitious technical teams in the league, they are aiming for nothing less than top in the Betway Premiership.
Vilakazi also expressed confidence that the squad will continue to improve as new signings settle in and develop an understanding with the players who were already at the club.
“I think they are going to adjust, we really understand that it won’t just click in a week or month,” said Vilakazi.
“They are still going to take time but the most important thing, we need to be patient with them.
“When we signed, we were trying to reinforce but not just bringing players that are going to add numbers to the team.
“We understand very well what we did in the previous season. We are one of the ambitious technical teams to say we want to do better every season.
“When we look at whatever that we have done at the previous season, we can’t take anything less than fourth position.”
