South African tactician Mandla Qhogi led Nsingizini Hotspurs to retaining their Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup this past weekend in Ulundi.
After a stellar 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign finishing fourth, AmaZulu came into the tournament as favourites, but suffered a shock 2-0 semi-final elimination at the hands of ABC Motsepe League side Ulundi United.

The second semi-final witnessed the defending champions beat fellow Eswatini outfit Mbabane Highlanders AM, owned by South African businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize, 4-1 in spot kicks after the match had ended 0-0 with club chairman Andile Mpisane missing one of the penalties.
Nsingizini then advanced to the final and again triumphed 5-4 in penalty shootouts against Ulundi after the match played out to a 1-1 stalemate.
In last year’s final between Usuthu and Spurs, the title was shared after the match was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch at the same venue.
Last season, Qhogi – a former Orlando Pirates youth coach – delivered an unprecedented treble in his debut campaign in Eswatini’s topflight as they bagged the BBET Trade Fair Cup, Ingwenya Cup, which is the FA Cup of eSwatini and then the biggest trophy, the MTN Premier League.
He was also named Coach of the Season for his historic feat.
