Stellenbosch FC have confirmed the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs and Polokwane City midfielder Kgaogelo Ramushu on a long term contract.

Ramushu played Chiefs’ reserves after joining the club from the former Bidvest Wits in 2021 but never made a senior team appearance for Amakhosi before leaving in March 2025.

He was on the books of Polokwane City in 2024/25 and 2025/26, but has only featured twice for Rise & Shine before now completing a switch to the Cape Winelands.

“Ramushu has joined Stellenbosch FC ahead of the 2026-27 season after spending the previous campaign with Polokwane City, where he made two Betway Premiership appearances last term,” the club stated.

The player himself has expressed his excitement about the move and keen to lift silverware with the club.

“It’s an amazing feeling to be here,” he said. “I’ve watched Stellenbosch play over the years and always been impressed by the structure and style of play. This is a team capable of competing for trophies, and I hope to play my part.

“I can’t wait to play in front of our fans, and I hope they come out in their numbers to support. The Stellenbosch supporters play a big part in the team prospering, so I’ll give my all for the badge to make them happy.”
