Mamelodi Sundowns and Durban City will both be missing key players when the MTN8 quarter-finals get underway this weekend.
Orlando Pirates will kick-off the competition against Cape Town City at Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday at 15:00.
Later that evening, Sundowns host Polokwane City at Lucas Moripe Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 18:00.
The Brazilians have been dealt a significant blow with striker Brayan Leon unavailable for the clash due to suspension after last season’s four yellow cards.
The Colombian attacker, who quickly became a key figure after arriving at the club in May, enjoyed an impressive debut campaign, scoring 15 goals and providing two assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.
Durban City will also be without Kyle Jurgens. The midfielder impressed during his loan spell with the club last season, earning a permanent move after playing a pivotal role in their successful campaign.
