TS Galaxy and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their respective starting line-ups for this evening’s Betway Premiership clash at Mbombela Stadium.
Galaxy kicked off their Betway Premiership campaign last week against Siwelele FC in an exciting 2-2 draw away from home. The Rockets finished the game with 10 men after goalkeeper Gift Maseti received a red card.
Sundowns on the other hand started their season with a 3-2 win over Polokwane City in the MTN8 and advanced to the semi-final. Downs didn’t play in the opening round as their game against Marumo Gallants was postponed due to their late pre-season.
This clash is expected to be fireworks after Galaxy damaged Sundowns’ title hopes last season, beating them 3-2 at the same venue.
The Rockets had also defeated Masandawana in the Nedbank Cup, running out 2-0 victors se two sides won each game against each other last season.
In head-to-head meetings between the sides, Sundowns still greatly dominate this fixture having won eight to Galaxy’s three in 12 league matches with just a single stalemate.
