Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has explained the absences of Tshepang Moremi and Patrick Maswanganyi, saying he cannot give any details about the latter.
Moremi and Maswanganyi were two notable absentees from Pirates’ squad for their MTN8 semi-final first leg at Sekhukhune United on Saturday.
The Pirates coach explained that Moremi was protected due to the knock, and he hopes to have the Bafana Bafana winger back in the next match against the same opponent.
“For Moremi, he got a knock in the last game, so we wanted to protect him,” he said when asked by iDiski Times about the two players.
“And I hope to have him for the next game, we wanted to protect him.”
Meanwhile, Ouaddou insisted he cannot give any details on the absence of Maswanganyi.
“For the other player I cannot say too much about the issue, he’s not injured,” he added.
“He was available but I cannot speak about something that I don’t masterise in.”
