Chicago Fire have pictured Bafana Bafana defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi back in training after his recent sideline with a thigh tear in late July.
The 20-year-old Fire centre-back suffered an injury and at the time, it was anticipated his injury would keep him out for the remainder of 2026.
In late August, Mbokazi’s head coach Gregg Berhalter provided positive news on how the Hluhluwe-born hard man was doing in his recovery and that he could be on course to make a return before the conclusion of the year.
On Friday evening, the club’s social media captured Mbokazi going through his paces at training.
“Some new and some familiar faces out at training,” the club said.
