Orlando Pirates legend Bruce Ramokadi has expressed that he wished for his former side to sign Namibian attacker Peter Shalulile.
Shalulile, 32, recently mutually parted ways with two-time African champions Mamelodi Sundowns due to lack of game time last season. He has since signed for Tanzanian giants Young Africans where he has scored one goal in five games so far.
Meanwhile, Pirates strikers haven’t been sharp shooting however recently Boitumelo Radiopane and Yanela Mbuthuma have found their scoring boots for the side.
Ramokadi told iDiski Times senior journalist Matshelane Mamabolo in edition 271 that his former side has quality but missed out on getting a smart striker like Shalulile to complete their puzzle this campaign.
“I think they’ve got the quality and the depth,” Ramokadi told iDiski Times.
“They’ve got it at the back and in the midfield. My only concern is the main striker. You don’t only need a striker to run the whole game.
“You just need a clever striker who can stop players, make good, clever runs. Even if he doesn’t score, you need a clever striker. I thought they would sign Shalulile.
“That was my wish.”
