Siwelele FC have parted ways with head coach Lehlohonolo Seema and assistant Willem Jackson following a disappointing start to the 2026/27 season.
The club confirmed on Monday morning that Seema and assistant coach Jackson have been relieved of their first-team duties, following Sunday’s 3-2 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs at Dobsonville Stadium.
Siwelele have moved quickly to make changes to their technical team, with Godfrey Mosoetsa taking charge of the senior side as caretaker coach with immediate effect.
In a statement, the club said the decision came as it conducts a review of the team’s performances and technical programme.
“This has been a challenging period for the club, and our supporters deserve better than what they have seen so far this season,” the club said.
“Our belief in this team, in our players and in what we are building at Siwelele remains unchanged.”
The club added that a further announcement regarding its coaching approach for the remainder of the season will be made once the review has been concluded.
Seema’s departure comes after Siwelele losing to Chiefs on Sunday, with the side ultimately suffering a 3-2 defeat.
The club called on its players and supporters to remain united as it looks to turn its fortunes around.
“Our season is still young. We will face the challenge in front of us together, as one team and one family,” the statement added.
