Chippa United assistant coach Nkosohlanga Dikeni has resigned from his role at the club.
iDiskiTimes has it in good authority that Chippa assistant coach Dikeni submitted his resignation letter to the club after their goalless draw with Milford FC.
Dikeni who has served the Chili Boys for some years in different roles from the reserve side, as caretaker coach, and assistant, is understood to feel he has reached the ceiling at the club and decided to leave.
Brandon Truter will have to find another assistant coach ahead of their important Betway Premiership clash against African champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Eastern Cape-based side has struggled and hasn’t won a single match this season, after five games they walked away with four draws and one loss something that won’t please club chairman Siviwe Chippa Mpengesi.
Meanwhile, Chippa confirmed Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium was found not fit for the tie against Sundowns, due to issues over the condition of the pitch, and the club has formally applied to the PSL to relocate the fixture to Buffalo City Stadium in Kugompo and is currently awaiting approval.
