Mamelodi Sundowns defender Zuko Mdunyelwa has explained why he expects a difficult test against Chippa United despite the contrasting form of the two teams.
Sundowns will travel to Buffalo City Stadium on Saturday to face the Chilli Boys, with kickoff scheduled for 17:30.
While Sundowns head into the encounter on a five-match winning run across all competitions, Chippa are yet to secure a league victory this season, having recorded four draws and one defeat from their opening five matches.
Despite their inconsistent start, Mdunyelwa believes Chippa will be a difficult opponent, particularly on their backyard.
“Chippa are not an easy team when they play at home at Buffalo Stadium in front of their fans,” said Mdunyelwa.
“But for us, it is important to get the three points that we want. We will have to fight for them, but it won’t be easy.
“It’s important to have our fans there as well, we’ve seen them support us before irregardless of how the weather is.
“They are important and when we are on the field, we see how important they are and we fight for them.”
