Marumo Gallants and Orlando Pirates have confirmed their starting line-ups for the Betway Premiership clash that will take place at Royal Bafokeng Stadium this afternoon.
In the last 34 league games, Gallants have won two matches, drawn 15 matches and lost 17 matches. Bahlabane Ba Ntwa released head coach Phuti Mohafe from his role and immediately confirmed Ronny Kananelo as the new head coach.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns player was with African Stars where he helped them book a place in the CAF Champions League second round coincidently against Pirates.
Gallants are currently sitting in 16th place with just two points after six matches. Pirates, meanwhile, have a chance to cut the gap to Sundowns to just one point.
The Buccaneers are currently in second place with 16 points after six matches and four points behind Masandawana with a game in hand. The Sea Robbers haven’t lost an official match since their 2-1 defeat to Sundowns in February.
Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side are the lowest-conceding team as they have only conceded one goal in the league.
In the last six league matches between the two sides, Pirates won four games, including an 8-1 drubbing, in December 2024, and Gallants won two matches.
