Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has underlined the importance of securing maximum points when Amakhosi face Golden Arrows in the Betway Premiership on Sunday.
Chiefs will meet Abafana Bes’thende at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit as they look to bounce back from their 1-1 draw against Polokwane City in their previous league outing.
Golden Arrows, meanwhile, will be targeting their second league victory as they aim to maintain their strong performances against some of the league’s bigger sides.
With the title race in mind, Ndlovu believes victory will be crucial for Chiefs as they look to stay in contention.
“If we want to stay in the title race, this game is vital to us continuing our journey, so whether we win in style or by grinding it out, we want those three points on Sunday,” said Ndlovu, as per the Chiefs website.
“They are a possession-based side that is also dangerous in transition, so they are tricky to play against but we have our own tactical plan that will nullify their strengths and pose them problems.”
Last time these two sides met, Arrows won 1-0 in the MTN8 quarterfinal just last month at FNB Stadium.
