After Group F concluded on Wednesday evening, all Round of 16 clashes, including Bafana Bafana’s with Morocco, of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations were confirmed.
Africa’s highest-ranked team qualified from Group F alonside Congo DR after beating Zambia 1-0, while DRC drew 0-0 with Tanzania.
As a consequence, Morocco will now face Bafana, who finished runners-up in Group E, in the Last 16. The game will actually be the last last of the Round of 16, kicking off at 22:00 on Tuesday, giving both teams more time to rest.
Meanwhile, Morocco’s win over Tanzania also meant that hosts Ivory Coast sneaked into the knockout stages as the final of the four best third-placed teams and will now face defending champions Senegal in the Last 16.
