The South Africa U17 national team have been drawn in the Group of Death for the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations which is set to take place in Morocco.
The North African hosts who are the defending champions are in Group A that brings up major rivalries, alongside Tunisia and Egypt from North Africa.

Meanwhile, Vela Khumalo’s side that went all the way to the U17 FIFA World Cup with the previous generation are pitted in Group D which consists of Senegal, Ghana and Algeria.
The tournament will take place between 13 May and 2 June, with players born on 1 January 2009 or later eligible to participate.
It also serves as qualifiers for the U17 FIFA World Cup with the top 10 teams from the 2026 edition sealing a place in the 2026 showpiece in Qatar this November.
