Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos sidestepped several questions after their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations exit in the last-16 round.
South Africa fell 2-1 to Cameroon at the Al-Medina Stadium in Rabat in a match where there will be several regrets, having created several chances against an Indomitable Lions side who were simply more ruthless and efficient on the night.
Having brought in Samukele Kabini, Nkosanathi Sibisi, Relebohile Mofokeng and Bathusi Aubaas into the line-up for their first starts in the competition after the group stage, the 3-4-2-1 formation looked to have been a masterstroke but ended up without a result.
“You know, first of all I will not give comment on that [the starting XI changes],” he said after the game.
“And secondly it’s not strange that when players are replaced, that some are not happy.”
Broos was rather short and to the point, avoiding all major talking points in the post-match press conference, as he notably tried to avoid comments made through ’emotions or frustration’.
