Raymond Mdaka has announced his preliminary U20 men’s squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
Amajita have been drawn in Group B, alongside Nigeria, Egypt and Morocco in probably the toughest group at the tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
Mdaka’s men qualified for the tournament after beating Zambia 2-0 in the Cosafa U20 final.
The U20 AFCON will see 13 teams compete from 26 April – 18 May, 2025, with the top four nations to qualify for the 2025 FIFA Under-20 World Cup that will be staged in Chile from 27 September-19 October, 2025.
On Wednesday, Mdaka announced his squad to carry the hopes of Mzansi at the tournament, including seven players from Kaizer Chiefs – more than from any other club – followed by Mamelodi Sundowns with five.
